Lufthansa Cargo will increase the so-called Airfreight Surcharge. As of January 13, 2020, the Airfreight Surcharge will be raised from EUR 0.75 to EUR 0.80 per kg. This emerges from a letter from Lufthansa Cargo to its sales partners. According to the letter, the reason for this cost increase is an upward trend in the cost components that make up the Airfreight Surcharge.
